You can’t get there from here! How isolated would you feel if the only access you had to the outside world was via plane? No roads only jungle paths mean no food, no purified water, no medicine…no contact. Unconceivable? This is actually how the people of Rus Rus, Honduras live.
They are poor and have no resources at their disposal. The only option to get supplies is to ship them to a port city, raft them a day further up river and then carry them by hand through the jungle. If packages are to large or to heavy…they simply are left by the side of the trail.
The use of missionary planes is the only viable option to provide this remote people group with essentials. It is a ministry service that these people could not live with-out. But the airplanes carry more than just supplies they also carry the sick to Hospitals that are days away by foot.
